Quebec lowers pass mark for Canadian Immigration
Quebec government has lowered its pass mark required to obtain Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) and has also removed the adaptability factor from the points based program. According to the new changes, no job offer and no invitation to apply is required. The system is based on first come first serve basis and the applicant can apply in the system while also remaining in the express entry pool. A single applicant must score at least 49 points while an applicant with spouse must score atleast 57 points. According to the government, applicant can apply under QSWP and Express Entry pool together, and withdraw one when either of CSQ or invitation to apply is issued. If the applicant satisfies minimum point’s requirement, he/she may gain additional points for accompanying dependent children and proof of financial sufficiency.
