Canada to fast track its immigration system


Under the Economic Class and Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Government introduced the Express Entry on January 1, 2015 to fast track its immigration system.

According to this Express Entry, Federal skilled workers can submit an expression of interest profile in any of the 347 eligible occupations to the Express Entry pool if they meet minimum entry criteria.  An Applicant’s profile is ranked under a Comprehensive Ranking system and highest ranked is considered for an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada.  After getting an invitation, an applicant must be submitting full application within 60 days.

Federal Skilled Workers are people with appropriate education, age, language, work experience and to qualify for admission in Express Entry Pool, they must meet following essential requirements like,

▸ In last 10 years, an applicant must possess one year of continues part time or full time paid work experience in one of the 347 eligible occupations listed in the applicable system of National Occupational Classification.

▸ As per the requirement of National Classification system, an applicant’s work experience must be classified for Skill Type 0 (Managerial Occupation), Skill Level A (Professional Occupation) or Skill Level B (Technical occupation and Skilled Trades).

▸ Applicant must obtain at least 67 marks out of 100 for Skilled Worker Point Grid. It includes six selection sectors like

            ● Education

            ● Age

            ● Language

            ● Employment experience

            ● Arranges Employment

            ● Adaptability

▸ Candidate must go through language testing (English or French) from a familiar third party and demonstrate language skills.

▸ Applicant should have enough money for settlement.

▸ Applicant should have to go through security and medical examination.
