Air India Announces additional Baggage scheme for Students


Air India has announced an additional baggage scheme for Indian students travelling to countries like USA, UK, Canada, and Europe for higher studies. Under this scheme, Maharaja Scholars will allow students to carry extra piece of luggage weighing upto 23 kg from India to International destinations on every student visa.  Maharaja Scholars usually operates flight for students travelling to USA, UK, Europe, Russia, Japan and Australia. Under this scheme, students will also receive waiver of cancellation charges if at all their visa is rejected but they need to provide proof of their visa rejection. Moreover students flying to US, Australia and Europe need not to take a transit visa as Air India operates direct flight to these places.
